  • envelopes: handmade from printed paper or magazine pages
  • tags: to tuck into pockets
  • pages made from handmade papers - texture rubbings, hand painted, marbled, etc...
  • pages made from "serendipity" or "MasterBoards"
  • pages from junk mail, coloring books, unusual paper, old greeting cards, postcards, etc...
  • add punches, cut-outs, torn papers, book pages, collage, maps, catalogs, receipts, tickets and stubs, found items and ephemera
  • punch out parts of pages, decorative cut borders
  • paper clips (decorative - shaped)
  • needlework: crochet (I like to bind a crocheted doily into the book - so that I can attach pins, pinback buttons, unusual buttons, or other items)
  • needlework: cross stitch (I like to add little cross stitched pieces to the covers and pages)
  • more to come ...

  • use broken jewelry, games pieces (scrabble letters, dominoes, and odd bits), polymer clay, metal washers and keys, wooden shapes, found items, bottle caps, shrinky dinks, beads: purchased, or handmade (paper beads, fabric beads, clay beads), buttons, charms, sequins, etc...
  • ribbons, fibers, string and yarn, tatted or crocheted bits (use for charms, or attach to the binding coils or rings)
